Ghosts and Infamous Places of Historic Irvington Tour
Come Tour the Most Haunted Place in Indianapolis.
You will visit the home of America's 1st
serial killer, Dr. H.H. Holmes. During the 1890s, the era of 'Jack the Ripper',
Holmes killed over 200 people in Chicago.
He fled to the Irvington area in Indianapolis where he
continued his wicked ways. View the scene of his last wicked
act and learn about the hysteria that led to the dismantling of his
home, brick-by-brick, by Butler College Students!
See the home of the Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux
Klan and the scene of the horrible crime that led to the downfall
of the powerful KKK and much of the Government of Indiana. Rumored to have many secret passageways & tunnels, the house was
the most visited haunted locale in Indianapolis for several decades.
Mourn at the site where 'Indianapolis Womanly Virtue' lost it's
innocence. For an entire month in the spring of 1925, the
nation's eyes were riveted on the Irvington house that cared for the broken body of a young lady as she recounted the horror of her ordeal from her deathbed. Her
trauma would bring the Klan to it's knees. For decades, the
house and it's "Lady in White" were considered the most haunted locale in Indianapolis by young people of color.
The Historic Irvington area of Indianapolis holds nearly 200 years of secrets and spirits all waiting to be
discovered. Irvington was named in honor of 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' author
Washington Irving due to it's close resemblance to the town in the book. This section of the city
was home to Butler College for any years and the
uppercrust of Indy's intellectual society. Irvington has hosted several
U.S.Presidents as well as Indiana’s most famous outlaw, John Dillinger, all of
which we shall visit on the tour. The Ghosts of Irvington await you.
